Operations

mapThe expedite industry is the fastest growing segment of the transportation industry. This segment services the same shippers as the truckload segment. However, expedite carriers are called into action when the freight is "Hot" and must be delivered ASAP. Expedite shipments are emergency shipments and don't allow for pre-planning. The trucking company and contract driver must be waiting in a ready status for the next emergency shipment to happen. This style of dispatch makes driving an expedite truck more similar to driving an ambulance than any other style of truck. The impacts of "Just-In-Time" manufacturing and "E-commerce" are being felt in the expedite segment greater than any other. This is an exciting time to have a career in the expedite industry.

Expedite freight will take you to all 48 states and Canada. One of the main customers of expedite carriers is the automotive manufacturers and their suppliers. Therefore, the core area of expedite customers is in the Midwest (IN, KY, OH, IL, MI).  The secondary area would be the remaining states east of the Mississippi River. Finally, the plains and western states do utilize ground expedite on a smaller scale.

Team Contractor’s Earnings
Team driver’s weekly compensation is based on the number of loaded miles the truck runs.  Each load pays the truck a specific rate per mile (Average $1.20 per mile).  As business partners we will split the total revenue from each load on a percentage basis.  Each week the team will receive a settlement statement which outlines there trucks revenue, there percentage of this revenue and all applicable deductions (fuel cost, financial advisor, work accident insurance and savings plan deduction).  Expedite Solutions covers the truck payment, truck insurance, truck maintenance, satellite communications, permits, plates, 24 hour team support and more.  The drivers share of the truck revenue, less driver expenses mentioned above will equal your net weekly earnings.

Anticipated Pay During Over the Road Training (Phase II see training)
(These estimates are examples of total pay to the team…NOT per individual)

$350 to $600 weekly (First 30 days)
$350 to $700 weekly (Month 2)
$350 to $800 weekly (Final Month)

$600 to $1,200 weekly (Phase III Teams)

Team Expenses
Every team has different spending habits and a different work ethic.  The better a team manages expenses and the harder they work the more money they will put into their pocket on a monthly basis.  We won’t know if you are a hard running team or one that needs a lot of time off, one that blows their extra money one week and then runs short the next, until you complete Phase II of our training.  Potential income ($1,000 per week or $52,000 per year to the team total).  Expedite Solutions in conjunction with the driver’s financial advisor will layout a budget that has been successful for other drivers.  The graph provided demonstrates some of the differences between new drivers and experienced drivers.
